Nanoplastics in our brains, plastic in the Arctic. Our practical, durable helper is everywhere, and production volumes are increasing. As a product of the fossil industry, plastic harms nature as waste and through its breakdown products, and our bodies with nano- and microplastics. Recycling does not work. We must reduce its volumes worldwide and switch to safe materials.

What does this mean for people, and what can we do? Who is actively addressing the problem?

The exhibition, with its works, is planned and implemented in a resource-saving manner. Artists are requested to specify the percentage of recycled material used in their work. As a team, sustainability is not just our content, but also our practice.

We are accompanying the exhibition with a dialogue-oriented program. Artists as well as external participants are cordially invited to contribute their own ideas for lectures, workshops, readings, or other formats.

Disciplines: object, sculpture, installation, photography, painting, drawing, printmaking, video with credits given, sound is possible. Performative contributions (performance, DJ, concert, or similar) for the opening, artist talk, or closing are expressly welcome.

Individual artists or existing artist groups may apply online with a maximum of three works.

International works: Physical works from the EU, letters and videos also from non-EU countries.

We offer exhibition space with equipment, a bar, promotion via email, website, social media, web and print flyers, organization of the work texts, the accompanying program and guided tours, and documentation.
We do not charge any fees for application, exhibition, etc. As a free, self-organized project space, we work on a voluntary basis.

For sent works, we ask that senders include the return postage.

Delivery and setup of the exhibition are on 22.10., 3–6 PM. We ask that paintings be provided with eyelets and that instructions for technical equipment be enclosed.

Unfortunately, there is no budget for production, further technical equipment, transport and insurance – the room is technically secured.

We expect good cooperation and agree on rules of cooperation, pdf.

Attendance for regional artists is desired for the opening and artist talk, as well as supervising the exhibition.
