The artist will create a multimedia installation directly in the gallery space and continuously develop it during the exhibition. This work is part of the comprehensive work-in-progress project Qorporal Quests: a series of multimedia installations in which Maria Korporal questions global digital development and uses different combinations of analog and digital techniques. QUIRQUIT* becomes a closed circuit of animated charcoal drawings, augmented reality, and virtual reality that connect all gallery spaces. The drawings that the artist will create and develop directly on the walls of the gallery will form the basis for the installation and follow the 6 R’s of sustainability: Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repair.

*The name QUIRQUIT combines the elements “circuit” and “qu” to suggest a unique, closed path or system.
