The registered support association Group Global 3000 finances the artistic exhibition work in the non-commercial project space that we call a gallery.
We were founded as an artists’ group in 2012 and since then have usually presented three to four exhibitions a year on art and sustainability at Leuschnerdamm 19 in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
With this programme, we are the only art venue of its kind. The topic of sustainability is more important than ever. Our art holds the hope of winning people over to climate action and biodiversity. We give these topics images through painting, video and sound works, installation, drawing, performance, and deepen them through expert talks, for example by Scientists for Future, and workshops.
We carry out the curatorial work on a voluntary basis as an artists’ team of five members. In 2016, we received the Berlin Senate’s award for project spaces for our exhibition work as a non-commercial gallery. The prize money will be exhausted in 2024. The funding association is small. Our costs are around €6,000 per year for fees, co-curation, advertising, rent, and exhibition materials for three exhibitions per year.
