GROUP GLOBAL 3000

Open Call „Endless Summer“

Exhibition 15.10. -10.12.2021

The permanent high over Europe creates vacation joy at home and crop failures due to drought.  Will the sensual desire for paradise be fulfilled? One enjoys lots of sun, always being outside and vacation at home.  A hedonistic dream.

However, the climate crisis is felt ambivalently. “Higher fuel prices are felt immediately in the wallet, but climate change comes insidiously.  “Heat deaths, devastation from heavy rains in 2021, fires worldwide from drought. In Canada, people are afraid of summer because of fires.

Continuing on without personal and political change is becoming more and more difficult. People hold on to fossil comfort, suppress the crisis, point to other countries that should change.

Application deadline 10.9.2021

In a public call for applications, we invite artists internationally to submit contributions for the theme described above for a group exhibition in our exhibition spaces.
Disciplines: Object, sculpture, installation, photography, painting, drawing, printmaking, video with credits, sound is possible. A performative contribution such as performance, VJ or similar to vernissage, artist talk or finissage is desired.

Since the corona crisis still requires restrictions, we will adjust the exhibition organization and program accordingly. We plan analog and digital, commented video tour, online gallery, dialogical and video events .

International works: Unfortunately, we can no longer accept packages from non-EU countries. The processing and communication effort, the shipping costs, the transit times and the difficulty of timely delivery in Berlin were too great. We are happy to accept letters and videos from non-EU countries.

We offer exhibition space with equipment, bar, advertising by mail and div. websites and social media and web and print flyers, organization of the work texts, the lecture, the documentation.

We do not take any fee for application, exhibition etc. We are a free, self-organized project space and work on a voluntary basis. For sent works we ask that senders include return postage. Unfortunately there is no budget for production, further technical equipment, transport and insurance (the room is technically secured). We expect good cooperation and agree on rules (gg3 rules regeln 2020) of cooperation.

Individual artists or existing artist groups can apply online with a maximum of three works.

Presence after lockdown: Presence for regional artists is desired for vernissage and the artist talk, as well as attending at least one date of the exhibition.

Our storage space is full. We are working on it and will create space as soon as possible! 9.9.21
