The exhibition leads into one of the most important questions of this time: How can our ecological footprint<\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span> reduced? In 1980, it was already called a climate catastrophe, now people are talking about climate change. But nothing changes to the right. But nothing remains the same either.<\/p>\n

Denial of change and disasters prevents appropriate action. Acknowledging change enables change. And precisely for this reason: It is time to change our current actions! Fridays for Future<\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The
\n
\n
\n Legend of the frog in the pot<\/a>
\n <\/u>
\n <\/span>
\n<\/span> is as follows: If you put a frog in a pot of boiling water, it will jump out again ad hoc to escape death. If you put it in a pot of cold water, which you gradually heat and bring to a boil, the frog will not smell danger. It remains in the water and dies miserably.
\nThe story is considered a parable for the fact that we humans always adapt and get used to changes without noticing how unbearable or dangerous the living conditions have become.

The exhibition with works by Dorotea Etzler follows the principle of the
\n
\n
\n Wunderkammer<\/a>
\n <\/u>
\n <\/span>
\n<\/span>. She works with display and dialogue, with photo and video works, as well as with lecture, workshop and discussion. A series of retrospective works by Etzler are linked to current works, and banal everyday objects are set in relation to works of art. The collection character of ‘Frog in a Pot’ corresponds to our complexly organized planet and allows us to discover multiple links and cross-references.<\/p>\n

‘Frog in a Pot’ is suggestion and interpretation, transformation and mystery, play and fun. The exhibition is organized according to sustainable , energy-saving economic principles.<\/p>\n

Biographical<\/h2>\n

Dorotea Etzler is a conceptual artist from Berlin. Your media referential and
\nsocially critical works are subject to a strictly formal approach and are of
\nsubtle humor. As VJane lazyliu she acts with the smartphone around
\nto create unique visual worlds. Etzler’s professional roots are in architecture, and in the near future she would like to teach artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n

\nThey tell of changes over the decades with regard to the themes present in the exhibition, such as weather, traffic, plastic and garbage. They report what they do to improve environmental conditions and what they find difficult.
\n20:00 Workshop ‘With worm and knowledge’ by Matthias Fritsch and Kirsten Vogeler from Denkwerkstadt Nahrungswandel<\/a><\/strong>.
\nIntroduction how we can compost in the home and contribute to soil fertility in the city. Starter cultures can be taken along.<\/p>\n

\n18:30 Workshop ‘MDRS – Moth Hole Repair Team’ with Dorotea Etzler<\/strong>.
\nIn the workshop, you’ll learn how to plug moth holes so you can reuse your clothes. No previous experience is necessary. Please bring your defective clothing. A range of different darning yarns and needles are available.
\nIn good weather the workshop will take place in the garden in front of the gallery, in bad weather inside.
\n20:00<\/strong> Game ‘City Land River’ with Dorotea Etzler<\/strong>
\nCity-Country-River is a low energy analog game. We use categories taken from the themes of the exhibition, such as weather, traffic, trash, plastics, sustainable, endangered species, future, and more. Ongoing entry into the game is possible.<\/p>\n
