This time not in Kreuzberg, but in green Hellersdorf at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mp43-culturebase.org\/\"> mp43<\/a> &#8211; project space for the peripheral: Subtracting wasteland of any kind through the project space as a flexible means of transport.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tomalbrechtart.de\/\">Tom Albrecht<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/gottwick.de\/\">Mariel Gottwick<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stephangross.net\/\">Stephan Gro\u00df<\/a>, Alexa Helbig, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariakorporal.com\/\">Maria Korporal<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Since 2013, the artist initiative Group Global 3000 has been presenting exhibitions that address pressing issues of environmental sustainability. Under the title &#8220;5vor12&#8221; the group is now a guest in the project space mp43. Using a variety of artistic media, she seeks an expression of the urgency to respond to the fundamental upheavals that have long been noticeably damaging life on our planet, but soon threaten to escalate fully. To this end, the &#8220;Transformation&#8221; object draws attention to the necessity of the energy turnaround and at the same time serves as a tribute to the technical inventiveness of mankind.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Mariel Gottwick&#8217;s installation &#8220;&#8230; and if they burn, I can&#8217;t help it.&#8221; shows insects in a light object and in photographs. In a juxtaposition of a distanced and a close-up perspective, our complex fellow creatures are rehabilitated from their status as vanishing points of discontent projections. They deserve respect not only because they help save life on Earth, but because they are a fascinating part of it.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Stephan Gro\u00df is also concerned with the duty of care for all living things. His experimental film &#8220;UNTIL NOTHING IS LEFT&#8221; shows a systematic breakdown in words and sounds until there is literally nothing left. Five words and Five sounds subjected to an alarming successive clear-cutting as a paraphrase of overexploitation, exploitation, extinction and disappearance.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Alexa Helbig&#8217;s large-scale mixed media work &#8220;The Full Catastrophe&#8221; depicts an expressive abstract scene around a dead animal. The titular expression, originally a movie quote, entered common parlance and today also serves as a vehicle for the idea of relentless contemplation and acceptance of even the worst crises as a coping strategy.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Maria Korporal&#8217;s interactive multimedia installation &#8220;Emergency Call Center&#8221;, which consists of several videos in different formats, deals with extreme climatological events.
